Children's Ballet Theater in Memphis offers students, ages 2.5 to 18 years and adults, ballet classes in the beautiful traditions of Russian and French classical ballet as well as musical theater, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, lyrical, acting, and vocal training and coaching. All classes are available to the public at our new studio in East Memphis. Students and professionals perform in the highly acclaimed Children’s Ballet Theater Nutcracker annually at the Germantown Performing Arts Center or GPAC. It is former ballerina Mary Van Dyke's greatest joy to offer children, teens and adults the very best ballet classes and training in these unique traditions. Our teachers are employed specifically for their knowledge of these styles. It is our imperative that all instructors are kind, uplifting and always speak encouragingly in our children’s and teen dance classes as they teach the discipline of classical ballet or work in the art of performance with our sister company, Memphis Youth Musical Theater.
The home for Children's Ballet Theater, Memphis Youth Musical Theater, and Tennessee Ballet Theater is at 621 S White Station Rd in East Memphis on the corner of Wheelis and White Station, right down the road from Curbside Casseroles.
